      Fun facts

🎰 A RISKY GAMBLE BY FEADSHIP (THAT PAID OFF):

Feadship took a rare gamble in late 2022 by starting construction on this yacht without a buyer, what we call a ‘spec build’. They named the project Sakura (Japanese for cherry blossom) and designed it around the philosophy of Ikigai (finding a reason for being). Usually, Feadship has a waitlist of several years, but they wanted to create a ‘ready-to-go’ vessel for a buyer who was too impatient to wait five years for a custom build.

The gamble paid off spectacularly. Just six weeks after Feadship officially put the project on the market in July 2023, a buyer represented by Burgess snapped it up. This is incredibly rare for a 72-meter vessel. Usually, negotiations for a boat of this scale take months or years.

      ☺️ THE ‘JAPANDI’ INTERIOR SOUL:

The interior is a specific aesthetic called "Japandi." Designed by FM Architettura, it blends Japanese minimalism with Scandinavian warmth.

Instead of the typical ‘gold and marble’ gaudiness of old-school yachts, “Stella M” uses light earthy tones, sustainable woods and natural light. It was specifically designed so that grandparents, parents and children could all coexist without feeling like they were in a museum.

      🛏️ THE CABIN ‘FUSION’ TRICK:

On the main deck, there is a transformer layout. Two of the VIP suites were designed with a modular wall system. This allows the crew to fused them together to create one massive full-beam mega-suite if a specific family member needs more space. It is one of the most flexible guest layouts ever installed on a Feadship.
