      Fun facts

      👑 THE ROYAL YACHT:

The yacht was built for Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said of Oman, who ruled from 1970 until his death in January 2020. Unlike Russian oligarchs or tech moguls who flaunt their boats in St. Tropez, the Sultan was incredibly private.

The yacht is part of the Oman Royal Yacht Squadron, which is effectively a private navy. “Al SAID” rarely charters and is almost never seen with guests partying on deck. It spends most of its time docked in Mutrah Harbor in Muscat, Oman, protected by military-grade security. Since the Sultan's death in 2020, the vessel remains the flagship of the Omani royal fleet, now under the reign of his successor, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq.

      🎻 FLOATING ORCHESTRA:

Most billionaires ask for a cinema or double helipads. Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the original owner, had a different request that gave engineers a headache. He was a profound lover of classical music and demanded a full-scale concert hall inside the yacht.

This is not a small stage for a jazz band. “AL SAID” contains a concert room capable of accommodating a 50-piece orchestra along with audience seating. The engineering challenge was immense: the space had to be acoustically isolated so that the engine vibration and ocean hum didn't ruin the performance.

This is probably one of the very few, if not the only private yacht having this.
